How do I refresh my XM signal?
The refresh signal will be sent from a satellite, so make sure your vehicle is outside and your antenna has a clear view of the sky. Turn your radio on and tune to Channel 184 for Sirius radios or Channel 1 for XM and SiriusXM radios. Simply tune to Channel 4 to verify your signal.

Pull the battery. leave battery pack out. connect a clip lead between the first and last spot where the battery connects and turn the radio on for 1/2 hour- it should do nothing with the battery out. Remove the clip lead, install new batteries and then see if it works, or you can do the paperclip reset. Let me know.
If you mean a Bearcat 2020 radio, then that unit is ancient, and I'm amazed that it still works. If you're only monitoring one frequency, you can get a really cheap scanner to do that and replace the 2020.
i'm not familar with that particular radio.... but try unhooking the battery for about ten minutes then hook the battery up again.... it should be fine.
