Is the computer a desktop PC or a laptop/notebook?
are the keyboard and mouse both located on the same surface? Maybe you're pounding the keyboard , thus causing the mouse to move slightly. If that's not the cause, you can try replacing the battery in the mouse. If that doesn't fix it, try opening Control Panel/Device manager. In Device manager double-click on Mouse. Click on Driver tab. Click on Update driver. Alternatively, right-click on Mouse (in Device manager) and select Uninstall, yes, ok.
Restart the computer by holding down the Power on/off button for about 6 seconds. Wait 10 seconds then press the Power on/off button again to turn the computer on again. When it boots up it Windows will reinstall your mouse.
If you're using a touchpad go into Touchpad properties (usually located in Mouse in Control Panel). In Touchpad properties window you can adjust the sensitivity of the touchpad. On our Lenovo laptop, for example, the cursor would frequently jump, jitter, or otherwise move around when we were typing. Sometimes it would move slowly around even if we weren't typing. After adjusting the touchpad sensitivity in Touchpad properties window the cursor became much more stable, and it only moved slightly if I was really pounding on the keyboard.

SOURCE: How can I stop my curser from jumping around whilst typing ?

Hello
Most probably because your 'Touch Pad Mouse' is touched by your palm (hand or something) while you are typing. Avoid contact with the mouse touch pad while typing.
Option 2:
If you have a centre moveable mouse on your laptop, start using it and disable the 'Touch pad mouse'
Best of luck!

SOURCE: my Dell Inspiron 6000 notebook computer curser "jumps around"

I frequently have the same thing when using a Dell laptop. The problem MAY be with the touch pad. Without noticing it, my thumb touches the pad and away goes the cursor!

So try this: Open the control panel and go to mouse. Look at the top for Touchpad. There is a setting in there for sensitivity. Reduce the setting so that you need to apply more pressure on the touch pad to move the cursor. Test it a few times to make sure it is still functional before closing the control panel. Then try typing something in a word processor and see if it is any better.

Good luck, and please let me know if this helps.

SOURCE: my curser keeps jumping into the middle of my sentence when i type.

If you have a laptop with a touchpad just below the spacebar be careful that you are not accidentally hitting the touchpad. I had an identical problem on one of my laptops, and simply switching to using a mouse and turning off the touchpad fixed the problem for me.

My curser jumps all around the screen when I am typing, how do I make it stop

hi...

thats normal on many laptops... even on my Dell and Lenovo...

the trick is to disable the Trackpad when typing...

1) Click Fn + F3 keys together to disable the trackpad and then type
2) Click Fn + F3 keys together to re enable the trackpad and then type
3) Buy an external Keyboard and Mouse (Wireless one) and use them (I do the same)
4) if you have trackpad drivers & application installed then adjust the sensitivity of trackpad on it

Thanks,

While typing on Acer Aspire the typing jumps around constantly...why?

Most of the time disabling the tapping for the touchpad solves the problem. Go to settings and disable the tapping for the touchpad, not the touchpad itself, just the tapping.

When i am typing something my curser jumps and types over something I've already typed. example: when i am typing hing my curser jumps and typesomet

Have you found the answer yet? I don't know that particular laptop but if you use the touchpad, it happened to me because even the lightest brush against the surface with a stray finger would make the cursor jump all over and do the same quite annoying thing as you described.

When I am typing my curser starts jumping around how do I stop this

Try disabling the touchpad in the BIOS and see if it still happens. If it stops you are accidently touching the pad while typing and the cursor jumps becaus eof that

Keyboard curser bounces around

Are you bumping the touch pad while you type? This may be causing the curser to move around. This laptop is known for its sensitive touch pad.
