SOURCE: no spark on GV100 honda engine mountfield laser

I assume you replace the coil due to the fact you didn't have any spark. If so, make sure you have the leg gap to flywheel correct. 12 thou should get you spark. However, if still no spark, check out the switch at the lower section of the cable. May only need an adjustment there, as the old cable do stretch with time and the gap is now incorrect. Make sure when you engage the cable that the switch isn't still grounded. Also, check the flywheel key to make sure it's not sheared off. Good luck

On page 28 of the pdf file it says you have to shut off the fuel and then remove the oil filler cap/dipstick and then tip the engine to drain the oil.

Air filter cleaning procedures are on page 31 of the pdf file.
