SOURCE: Teac GF-350 CD Shelf System

Firstly double check that the recordable discs you have bear the label "Digital Audio" on them as per the attached picture. Secondly what happens when you go through the finialise procedure in the manual? Do you see the ?FIn--d? display when you select the finialise button? Do you see ?NO TOC? and ?REC? indicators blinking at the next step? Please update the question & let us know if the information given was useful to you - Good Luck!

SOURCE: PIONEER DC-Z92 CASSETTE DECK AMPLIFIER

Is this one of the units that has a ribbon cable ( looks alot like an IDE hard drive cable) that connects all the components together? It also has a squre plastic fan that protrudes slightly from the rear (by about a 16th of an inch)? If so, it's the power module which consists of 2 boards (along the fan housing). You can probably find replacements for about $70, but I wouldn't bother. They quit making new replacements several years ago and any board you get now is just a pull from old stck units.... and they fail about 2 minutes after you put them in. Pioneer knows this but still sells the defective parts.

ON MY TEAC DC-D2831 THE RADIO, RECORD PLAYER AND CASSETTE ALL WORK BUT VOLUME IS VERY VERY LOW WHAT CAN IT BE? ANY SUGGESTIONS? THANK YOU!

Please don't type in all CAPS, it is considered SHOUTING and rude, plus it is harder to read especially with so little punctuation. It all runs into one sentence!

You should have returned it when you realised the CD player didn't work. Your issue now can easily be fixed. It is likely to be damaged capacitors just due to age. Nice little audio system.

Consider (and tell us) the nature of your turntable. Is it self-preamplified or otherwise running though a PHONO preamp? If not, well duhhh!

"PHONO" is the only designated connection on an audio device that is literal and exclusive. Nothing but PHONO will work right on it and old-school turntables would require it to preamplify and frequency-correct the tiny current produced by a Phono cartridge. Look up RIAA equalization.

If your unit doesn't have a PHONO connection AND your TT doesn't have a self-contained preamp you will have to get a Phono Preamp to connect between the TT and any Line Level input, like Aux.

eBay always has some...

There is very low sound from turntable to teac

Check out if the earth connections are are good in the jack.
Are you connecting to a dedicated socket for turntables on your amp? Turntables have to have a pre-amp stage (unlike CD/Tape) before they go to the main pre-amp. If the Teac doesn't have a turntable socket, you will need to buy a pre-amp for the turntable.

Questions

Swop the CDR into the tape outputs on the amp and use it just like the tape recorder you had hooked up. Also do a direct digital link to a CD player for digital copies.
