If it's the remote control that's locked, you can remove the batteries for about 30min. This should erase whatever lock has been put in place. If the lock is on the cable box, then you can contact the cable provider, explain your situation and ask for the lock to be removed. Hope this answers your question. Best of luck.

parental controls are a security measure set on televisions and cable boxes by parents. if you are not said parent you do not need to reset anything as those are put there as a means to keep you out of things you don't belong in. if however you are the parent and simply want to get past those controls you need to contact your manufacturer for the reset procedure

parental control is usually at browser level settings open that up and make adjustments might be under security

other parental controls are usually on user level on pc's but if you are the only one using it and not a child, then that's most likely NOT what you are asking
