Our DNC65 dehumidifier stopped working no power light. Changed the 13amp fuse doesn't help. Any tips, should we buy a new one, what's the best one to buy. J

Well although this is an old question, for the benefit of anyone who finds this in the future, the main reason for the main fan motor to stop working is due to the overheating of a tiny thermal fuse inside the motor itself. These fuses are one shot (meaning that if they trip, they will need replacing)
The good news is, that they cost about 99p to replace, the bad news is that you would need to strip down the unit and open up the motor in order to do that. This is a delicate operation and requires a steady hand, a soldering iron etc. the fuse you are looking for resembles a small resistor. usually located in a section of fibreglass insulation sleeve as the incoming wires connect to the motor windings. A fuse is easy to test using any multimeter a good fuse will show continuity and a dead fuse will show... nothing (open circuit) You would need to buy a replacement thermal fuse rated for the same temperature as the failed one (usually 115'C) and capable of passing mains voltage (240Vac) Cut out the old fuse and solder in the new one (it does not matter which way round it goes) Replace any sleeving and cable ties inside the motor and reassemble.
WARNING - do not attempt repair unless you are SURE you know what you are doing!!
