My disc will not load. Just keeps spinning and says loading. I have an insignia is-pd040922 Does anyone know what is wrong?

I have an insignia dvd travel theatre is pdo40922 when insert disk it reads "no disk...what am i doing wrong?

I am having maintaining power problems with my PD040922 when I try to use it the system clicks and goes back to LOADING option. I have tried to work through this problem by removing battery and just have mains power connection. Then I just use fully charged battery with the same problem occuring. Is there a solution, other than buying a new player?

clean the lense with the cd-dvd cleaner disc you can buy one of those in best buy walmart
or frys

try googleing or craigslist i have the same problem

It clicks and keeps loading after a while it says"wrong disc," I just have it for a few months and it acted like this. I checked inside, it seems like everything is correct but it just clicks and never spins. or it says error disc... i just bought this GRRRRRR!!!!!!!

Check to see if the disc is spinning. You can do this by one of two ways either

• a:) Listen for the disc to spin after inserting it or
• b:) Place disk in drive right way up (so that the label is not upside down). Load the disc and eject the disc again to se if the disc has moved i.e. the writing may now be upside down.

If the disc does not spin then it is likely that there is something wrong with the disc motor. If it does spin then the issue is more likely to be with the laser unit. Try cleaning the lens but if this doesn't help it's likely to be a more serious and ultimately more expensive problem.

The laser has become damaged/worn-out. There is no fix for it as replacement parts are not made for it.
