SOURCE: Pink cloud covering most of the screen

Lets bombard Hitachi with the pink cloud issue and get them to replace the TV or Fix it. I've got the same issue and the repair technician told me to fight for it. He wouldn't even come out to look, he knew right away what the problem was. The Red and Green engines were shot and said to scrap the TV. I told him that I just bought the unit in 2004 for 5000.00 and he said I'll have to fight for it.

SOURCE: MODEL NO SP42W4HB PICTURE DISTORTED

This is most likely a convergence problem. You should see 2 large black ICs in side attached to a heatsink. They will be marked STK392-010. Try resoldering the pins on these ICs first. If that does not resolve the problem, replace them. These parts will be about $20 each.

This is usually do to a section of your controller chips dying. This is not fixable by the end user, the only thing I could say to try is to try different resolutions to see if you can reduce the issue.

My A80 makes pictures with very thin horizontal line across the top of the picture. in the same series of shots, clouds and snow came out pink-tinted.

Are you looking at the photos on the camera screen or a computer screen? Camera screens can sometimes be the culprit, depending on lighting. Also, make sure you are not shooting into the sun, that can do weird things to an image sensor.

Optio S40 white objects are pink

Sounds as though the white balance is off, check your manual on how to alter the white balance to manual - then change it back to auto. It should fix it.

Can't use on-screen programming

Hmm pink clouds huh? Sound like something is wrong? I think you might want to try to contact Home Solutions and either put in for a service call or look into getting the media center repaired. I would get it repaired if it plays DVD's fine

Pink cloud covering most of the screen

If the pink spot appears as mostly a circle in the middle if the screen then a light engine is needed. If it is an even coverage than possibly just a memory initilization needed by a technician.
