Sounds like your passlock security has definitely been activated - this can have several causes, and you may be able to diagnose it checking for trouble codes. The electrical problems suggest another cause - various electronic devices/computers in the truck operate at several different voltages (not just 12V) and there is a power module in the truck which converts 12V to the other voltages. A failure in that module can cause all kinds of odd problems including the hum.
That's kinda where I was thinking to ... I went and picked up 2 pcms from a scrap yard for 15 bucks each and figure its worth a shot right ? I know using anything other then a reman is frowned upon but that's why I got 2 ... Otherwise it's gotta be a bad ground right ?
If your PCM is faulty, it will generate trouble codes. Could be a bad ground - if I were you, I would check the wiring diagrams at Alldatadiy.com to track down all the wiring and devices that could be a problem.

I had this issue once myself. I worked my tilt steering up and down trying to get my truck to start at different positions. It finally started after about 2 minutes of trying. Never had that issue since either. Good luck with it.
Check for fuel pressure first..there should be a place to check for fuel pressure on the fuel rail...sounds like your fuel pump quit and it may be time to replace it but check fuel pressure and in the fuse compartment check the fuel pump relay
Your passlock is activated check key and ignition cylinder for wear or damage --also possibility is [since not hearing a fuel pump ] is seized pump -relay -module failure
SOURCE: shuts off while driving. no fuel pressure. pcm fuse blows/ fuel pump relay inserted.
Sounds like the fuel pump is shorted.

If your battery starts turns the engine over, it is doing it's job well. It sounds like your engine computer is not liking the cold engine. If it has been a while since a tune up, it would not hurt to go ahead and do it, but if it runs ok after it warms up, I sould not worry about it a whole lot. When the engine is cold, the egr valve and other things that are made to limit polution tend to stick and give the computer bad readings. A serious tune up may fix it, and I think should, but you MAY still be in the same boat! That does not FIX it for you, but should ease your mind on the light.

Try cleaning the battery connectors at both ends and make sure the ground at the frame is clear of rust. If that check out, drop the starter and have it bench tested
SOURCE: truck wont crank each time
It sounds to me like that you have several different issues with you vech and on the pass lock system will not cause all the problems listed how ever it will cause the no crank and after five min or 30 min start it is most likely the pass lock sensor unless your truck has a pk3 system (the key will have a + or pk3 stamped on it)If it is a pk3 system then it may be the theft detturent module if ton a pk3 system then most likely a pass lock sensor . Take the vech to some one that can ck for codes and find out all the codes set in the vech. This will tell a whole lot about what is going on with the vech .Im not very good on drivabilty problems. The evap leak and the mis fire will not be related to the pass lock problem.
