SOURCE: starter. some times acts like
John 4 possible solutions, 1 first check make sure main cable ground is connected to chassy and engine some times it gets lose breaks or corroded up....,2 contacts corroded or burnt in side soilnoied not making connection, will have to remove starter to repair or replace soilnoied,..3 cable chafing or burnt through causing to short out on chassis or engine,...4.. the brushes in starter motor are worn down or motor winding are fried and broken down need to remove to replace not a job for un less u have specialist tools take to Auto shop or get a second hand replacement from scrap yard good luck please let me know how u get on
