Replaced LED driver on my Samsung smart tv but screen is still without backlight. What could be the problem?

My TV screen when black (screen visible with a flashlight) and I still have audio. I diagnosed that it was the LED driver and replaced it. The screen is still black.

Fault with its main board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

SOURCE: 47' (sic) LED TV, model number m470vse. Why doesn't the backlight work?

Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

In some models of LCD TVS; the backlight inverter and its T'Con board will be a part of the panel itself, and will be a built-in type inside the LCD panel. If so, they can't be replaced. In this case; a panel replacement is the only repair. For some other models, the backlight inverter section circuit will be a part of the main power supply regulator [SMPS]. To such sets, the power supply section circuit too should trouble shoot. Contact any service technician. The circuit will differ with models and versions.

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main board....

Hi guys ! I'm looking for advice! 55 inch qled smart tv, the audio is audible is good, black screen instead. Tcl model : u55x9006

The issue you're describing with your TCL 55-inch QLED Smart TV, model U55X9006, where you can hear audio but the screen is black, could be caused by a problem with the backlight or the backlight driver.
Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
  1. Check the backlight settings: Make sure that the backlight settings on the TV are set correctly and that the backlight is not turned off.
  2. Check the backlight driver: The backlight driver is responsible for controlling the backlight, so check that it is functioning properly.
  3. Check the backlight inverter: The backlight inverter is responsible for providing power to the backlight, so check that it is functioning properly.
  4. Check the video signal cable: Make sure that the video signal cable is securely connected and that there are no damaged or loose wires.
  5. Check the T-con board: The T-con board is responsible for controlling the video signal, so check that it is functioning properly.
  6. Inspect the screen: Check the screen for any visible damage.
  7. Contact TCL customer service: If the above steps did not resolve the problem, it is best to contact TCL customer service for further assistance and repair options.

I have a Samsung UN65KS9800FXZA LED TV which is experiencing a black screen, but has audio sound. I've done the standard flashlight test and there isn't any video showing on the screen. When the problem...

Just a thought. Maybe someone inadvertently turned the screen off which is possible in the video settings. You would do this on purpose for falling asleep to music from videos. AND perhaps the TV was turned off before the screen was turned back on and it's stuck in that mode. I would search for the button sequences needed for putting the TV into service mode. (google). If you can get into service mode and it's visible at least you would know the LED display is working. From there just look around to see if there's something applicable. Last resort is to factory reset in service mode. I could be all wet about this, only a suggestion. Nothing lost if it doesn't work.

Samsung UN65TU8000FXZA 2020 Smart 4K Led TV backlight stopped working, but replacing backlight strips did not work

Well, you took the right route, but sounds like the wrong television engineer. Fixing television is a gamble, but the engineer should have the test equipment and the experience to fix.

If you paid $700, you may as well pay the $150 to Shop Jimmy.

How do I fix my Samsung 40 LED TV that has sound but no picture?

Here is what to check when your TV is turned on, power light is ON, but no picture is seen or sound is heard:

1 - Be sure the component you are using (Xbox, Cable, SAT, ROKU) is turned ON.
2 - Check to be sure all cable and cords are securely connected to the TV inputs and component outputs.
3 - Make sure you are on the correct input as some TV's will show a black screen if there is nothing connected to that input.
4 - Unplug the input you are trying to use from the TV (such as an HDMI Cable) and plug it back in.
5 - Check for signs of damage on all cords and cables from the TV to all components.
6 - Make sure the TV is not in ENERGY SAVE MODE, press the button on the remote control to go back to normal mode.
7 - Unplug the TV for 10 minutes to see if there was a temporary one time issue with the TV.
8 - Disconnect the TV from power for 2 minutes, then when plugging it back in PRESS AND HOLD THE POWER BUTTON ON THE TV FOR 10 to 20 SECONDS to try and force the TV to reset.
9 - If after checking all these different issues, you may have a Faulty Power Supply Board, A Bad Capacitor on the Power Supply Board, Loose Wire Harness, or Loose Ribbon Connector in the TV itself.
10 - Most likely when a TV has the power light ON but NO PICTURE and NO SOUND, it is the Power Supply Board that has failed.
