Hi i have a samsung tv but i turned on the panel lock by misstake the model number is AND THE type is C17A14N3 i have no control but can some one help me please

Please open the back cover, the part number of the panel will be there on a white sticker.

You're probably better off programming the cable box remote to control your TV. Samsung codes are standardized, Motorola not so much.

It sounds that your TVs' main system control memory IC is faulty. But, before make it confirm, contact any service technician. consult the owner manual or call Samsung---this set likely has a lockout feature that locks both the remote and the keyboard out.

You might also want to research this by taking the model number and Google key words "remote lockout" etc.

Instead of typing model number of your TV (that located on right hand side and on the back of TV) you published here part number of your TV's remote control. LOL.
Anyway... If it is LCD/plasma panel that you talking about - than power supply have bad electrolytic capacitors that have to be replaced. You can recognize 'em by bulged/swollen tops (instead of flat tops of good capacitors).

Just type in your remote model number and the model of the devices you are trying to control.

Try a Logitech Harmony universal remote, they can be uploaded with the drivers from the internet and this might do the trick. Otherwise you can contact Samsung and ask for a replacement of the original remote.

Try unplugging the TV and leave it out for an hour or so. In that time it will clear its memory and settings and it should work for you.

if your cable signal is poor , noisy, then it may not switch channels easily or at all.

if you have a universal remote ( i just used the all for one 4 model )
1 ) press the vcr button. 2 ) hold the magic button down wait for 2 red flashes. 3 ) enter code 0240. 4 ) press the power button on the remote tv will turn itself off. this will get the panel lock off the tv.
i have just done this after 30 mins of trying to work out why the panel lock would not come off with trying the tv codes. you have to use the vcr codes. my tv is now working and my grandson can play his playstation again with no problems just had it working.
