I have a Samsung LE26. I bought a wall bracket for tvs with vesa fittings. Although the holes on the backplate are in the correct place, they holes in the back of the TV are a different diameter to any bolts that came with the bracket or that I can find anywhere. Im reading on various forums that the bolts need to be 4.5mm instead of the standard 4mm or 5mm. Can anyone tell me where I can get these, and if this is what I actually need ? thank you

Thank you for your advice - you are confirming what I had read on a few bulletin boards. It does seem an extraordinairy thing for Samsung to do.

In the meantime I have managed to find bolts athttp://www.stagonset.co.uk/ which are something called A2_ScrewBolt_SHCap_UNCoarse8-32_5/8_THRfull. These work out to 4.2mm so they may work, especially with the PTFE tape you metion - I havent tried them yet.

thank you again for your speedy update

There is no such bolt size as 4.5mm, if you look in to an imperial size bolt instead you will find that the imperial size converts back to 4mm or 5mm (M4 or M5 and nothing in the middle).
Samsung can not advise on the correct bolt for your tv model as they do not have the specification for this, this is a factory error - no other Samsung model hase this problem.
You can use PTFE tape, wrap this around the M4 bolt to give it .5mm, PTFE tape is used by plumbers to make screw threads water tight when using compression fittings. You can buy PTFE tape from any DIY store.
I have a samsung LE model, 32", I bought a TV wall bracket from an excellent website called http://www.mountright.com , they supplied with a UMount TV bracket which came with all the correct bolts for my Samsung TV.

Trying to use stand mount for 50" insignia. Cannot determine where to drill holes for brackets. VESA 200/200 per box label. Help! Please!

Woa!! You must use a wall mount bracket to do this. You just don't drill holes in the wall and then try to mount. Good wall mounts are not expensive (WalMart has a good supply of various sizes.) Here is a You Tube video with more information on wall mounting tvs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YdbWKDW4xa0

We want to wall mount thevTV what size screw fits the back of the TV? Sanyo model DP32649

Assuming a modern TV with a square/rectangular arrangement of holes (i.e. VESA mount) - they're M4, length varies.
Appropriate screws will be in the kit with the wall bracket.

I need a wall mount bracket

Most if not all tv's are VESA compatible. All wall mounts are VESA compatible, meaning you can buy any wall mount you see fit to mount your tv.
I'd look into Sanus brand mounts, they're pretty decent.

42'' LCD PLTV-4250 MOUNTING

The universal mounts generally have a selection of screws that are to fit different makes and models of tvs.
If you bought the appropriate size mount for the size of your TV, there should be mounting holes that match your TV, and screws that will secure it.
I have not seen any mounts that use more than four.

Vesa screw holes

Most wall brackets are universal for a particular vesa standard, in this case 100mm x 200mm.

This means that the bolts supplied aren't for any particular set.

The Philips 26PF5521D only needs bolts up to about 12mm long.

Try shorter bolts.

Cannot find VESA holes...Samsung Syncmaster 970p

I have looked at the specification for this, and although it does show as being VESA compatible (This is a display standard) There is no mention of any "wall mounting" capabilities at all, which would lead me to believe that this is not designed to be put on a mount. also the "Magic Rotation" Technology which is part of this device may rely on it using the proprietory stand, it may well be possible to remove the stand however, but it would require some significant dissasembly as the power connector is on the signal box, and this would need to be seperated from the stand itself. The mounting bolts look to be hidden behind the round pivot cover on the back, and it may be possible to see if mounting is possible simply by removing this, however I would seek information from the manufacturer about this as removing any of the covers would most likely invalidate your warranty, it is possible that this was missold to you and you should be able to take it back as not being fit for purpose.
