That would depend upon the brand/model of cash register. That you seem unaware of this basic information suggests that you should leave the task to the company that provides support for training on the registers. I'm not referring to the company you work for. You might try contacting that support. While you might be able to find some programming instructions for the specific brand and model on the internet, if you "got into trouble", you would be in a world of misery.
