I just came across this searching for my name. I followed a YouTube video. The part where the reel is splits in two and you pull the handle out. The hard bit was finding something stiff enough to from the top to the reel. I used two wire coat hangers taped together and made a hook on the end.

SOURCE: string is stuck inside reel and I need to remove

Hi, W/D here.

The string tends to get caught in itself, despite our best winding efforts. Pull the spool straight off, and try to get some fingers on the spools as it comes off, in case one of the spools if free, so the line doesn't fly off.
Usually a kinked piece can just be pulled at an angle to free it up.

Best regards, --W/D--

Zoo kids fishing pole. The string got all tangled up inside so I took it apart but there are metal pieces I didn't see now I can't figure out how it's suppose to be put back together.

find the parts list on the internet first off. You just look and see what make and or type, modle, etc reel it is or was lol. But when you see the diagram of the parts that are used to build that reel. You should see how each part goes togeather and usealy has arrows that show what order each part goes in if thee are moer than one part that connect togeather. Remember just look up what reel you have and search for that reel with diagram. Or just search for the parts for it and it may have a diagram just pop up for you.

I do not know how to thread line through reel . No instruction on how to set up reel for fishing.

put spool of string on a pencil and have someone hold it, now snake the string through the eyes of the pole and attach it to the reel, on the small shaft in the middle, then just reel your pole in untill you reach YOUR limit of string..

Ryobi Trimmer

To install string in the Ryobi you do not have to disassemble anything: Line up the two arrows on the inner and outer reel, remove any excess string, cut two pieces of string about 10 feet, feed line in the side holes, secure line in hole where it comes out the bottom (it only takes about 1/4in. to do so), pull strings tight, then turn the inner reel counter clockwise to wind it. If it sticks a little just pull line a little.
To remove the inner spool in order to remove line that has broken inside, to clean the mechanism, or to perform other maintenance, grasp the outer reel and unscrew the bump knob counter-clockwise. Mine is often very tight and requires pliers to get enough leverage. While you are in there, clean the inner reel and the inside of the outer reel to improve feed performance. The shaft rarely needs cleaning. Do not lubricate. After re-installing the reel, add string (0.080") as described above.
