Make sure you have enough of a "tail" from teh bobbin... Probably 4 inches or so before starting. If that doesn't work, check upper tension and needle is properly seated.
The needle drags the thread down and then starts back up causing a loop at the eye which a shuttle goes through and acrries the upper thread over the bobbin. The upper thread then drags the bobbing thread up.
When i looked in my bobbin hole i saw the small spring is unattached which is my guess to why it is not grabbing the bobbin thread but where to reatch it is the question!
I have the same problem...I have been sewing for many years, and I think I know how to thread a sewing machine! I'm with this person...IT JUST WON'T PICK-UP THE THREAD ...my machine was new, only used it a few times, then one day....it quit woking, it just will not load the bottom thread, I have tried everything, but to take it to a shop.
