I just replaced 3 (CYM) imaging units in my Konica 8031 and all ran fine for (200) 11x17 double-sided copies. Then it started printing pages with alot of Cyan toner on edges... I replaced the toner cartridge, and there was alot of toner where the cartridge sets, which I cleaned the best I could.
Now I am getting what started as a 1" and grew to a 4" Cyan band across the bottom of both sides, and there is toner on the imaging unit. Help!! What, if anything, can I do, short of replacing an imaging unit?!?!
Check to see if you waste toner recycling for the cyan is working or being blocked. Check the transfer bias roller next to the cyan drum. Return you cyan imaging unit for a warranty replacement. Check for obstructions to the cyan developing unit. Check that the cyan IU was put into the machine properly. Check for toner leaking from the entrance to the developing unit or from the toner cartridge.
or, call a qualified KonicaMinolta tech to check out and service your machine.

Thanks for a quick reply!!
Then my next question is can I take the chip from this new cyan unit and put it in my old unit? I don't have a new unit here and need it NOW?!?!?
Just want to make sure I understand... or the you can understand 'a bit ignorant' me! I can just put the old unit back in without replacing the chip??
I put the old unit back in... the copier went back to telling me to change it soon. Ran a few copies just fine, but again telling me to replace unit.
Meaning I need to switch chips?? I have not done that before... is it difficult? Can you give me any pointers/suggestions?!
