Hello, How long has your dishwasher been do this? Have you washed dish's in
it? Also, these German made dishwasher run on less than 2 1/2 gallons of
water. These German manufactured dishwasher machines run really quite. Because
of the German water conservancies laws. They limit the amount of water
dishwasher and washing machine can use. Also, there is no storage hot water
system in there homes, it on demand hot water. You can't hear the motor running
and about the only thing one can hear is maybe the water washing the dishes.
Now, the water at the bottom of the dishwasher, if the drain isn't connected
up under is the sink drain and trap area or the garbage disposable in the sink.
but some place lower on the drain pipe. You will not have a spiffing effect on
the the bottom of the dishwasher, it the same with washing machines. One the
discharge pump starts sucking air, it will not drain the dishwasher. The siffen
effect works if the water is below the outlet for the drain. Example: Home owner
have the new washing running and continue fill with water. Why, because the
drain pipe end is below the the bottom of the washing machine tub. It fill up
with water and siffen action continues emptying the tube will it still filling.
One heck of a water bill.
Dishwasher not draining completely problem usually occurs due to clogged/blocked drain hose-filter assembly or the drain pump not working. First try to clean the drain hose and drain pump filter located inside the front bottom panel for any clogs, then check drain pump operation. Take off the bottom access panel to clean the drain pump filter and hose. If the problem returns after cleaning then it is the drain pump that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions. Kevin
Dishwashers typically leave water in the drain system exitting the pan but not a lot of water. If yours does then make sure you clean the drain screen ( normally located in or around the drain tube exitting the pan of the dishwasher..) If after cleaning that and after a normal wash cycle you continue to have significant volumes of water in the pan, the pump, lines leading to and from that pump may be restricting flow or damaged.. Those are a few of the normal culprets for why there is a lot of water in the pan of dishwashers after a cycle.. Hope that helps you identify the problem and resolve it,..,
Regards
hi, check your waste pipe is clear, check that the filters in the bottom of the machine are clear, try it again on rinse cycle, if it does not empty select rinse again and gently turn selector click by click ,see if empties now? if it does it may be your progamme timer fault if not it may be your pump
After cleaning the air gap thingy my machine works fine again. This thing sits on the left lower back side of the machine (left when you are standing in front of the machine). It is a transparent plastic box with 3 hoses attached (drain hose from pump, drain hose to the outside and water). Inside the box is a black plastic float. If debris gets caught in there the float gets stuck. Solution is to remove the part by pulling the 2 drain hoses out (there is a small black clip holding them in) and unclamp and remove the water hose. Rinse and shake the housing until the float moves freely again and reassemble.
