Ricoh Aficio Color Registration Error

I am getting a "Color Registration Error" message. The maintenance menu has an automtic adjustment for color registration, which I performed, but it did not solve the problem.

Any suggestions?

I have the same problem also, after seeing the color registration error I performed the color registration adjustment through the maintanance menu with no luck. So I replaced the color and black PCU, and then perform the adjustment, and still nothing. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

a user put some bad paper in the Ricoh and it somehow tore the transfer belt. After replacing the transfer belt, I get a "Color Rgist Error".

Ran Color registration, no results- error message still shows, no color prints

Reseated everything and even replaced the color PCU, but no dice.

    Any ideas?

Yes go into service mode run 2111 mode c. 1st then mode a after you run mode c or 3 firts. Then 1 after that if that goes through you can do the rest. If it don't clean I'd sensors or check transfer belt for issues

I had the same problem on my printer. I called Ricoh tech support, (this error was not listed in the manual). He told me to try to reseat the Black PCU and the color PCU, then run the auto color registration from the Menu. I tried this and my Color Registration Error went away.

One of our Ricoh CL3500N printers- less than a year old- gave us a "color regist error" after changing the transfer belt.

Ran the "adjust color regist" without results. It would just finish and pop back up with the same error.

Color test page printed no color, just BW

I reseated everything, and even replaced the PCU without positive results.

A couple hours later I went back, took everything out (be sure to keep the pcus out of the light!), and vaccuumed the heck outta that printer.

For whatever reason- maybe there was a chunk of toner hanging out, maybe I knocked something loose or back in place, whatever- but when I put all the parts in and turned it on, the error was gone and color printed great!

I had a customer call about this problem. We took a look and could not resolve the problem. However we noticed that the printer needed a new black PCU because it would not print black well. Once we replaced the PCU, the color regist. error was gone.

I'm told this works as well...
On the main board put dip switch 101-1 on and then off and then enter 97 and press the aps key. Then power cycle the printer.
