The drive belts have started to break regularly after 3 years of not one breaking. The gap between each break is getting shorter, would it be a tensioner or something running out of line?
Could be a few things causing these problems make sure you check all the pulleys have no defects like small chips cracks or dents cus the this tends to cause belts breaking make sure the belts are not to tight or too lose this can cause problems if somethings out of line it will tend to throw your belt off not break

The belts are the correct belts from the manufacturer, the gap between breaks reduced in the end to a level where I have been and bought a new mower. I have decided though it would be a waste to bin it so I will try to fix it. The belt shreads when it comes off
Are you using the correct belt or a cheap belt found at the local hardware store?
