Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. F3 error code means the oven temperature sensor (above 3000 ohms) is open and you need to check for open wire connection between EOC (Electronic Oven Control - Clock) and the oven temperature sensor. If there is no wiring problem then you need to replace sensor. Please also check resistance of oven temperature sensor.

Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Whirlpool GR396LXGQ oven comes on by itself & goes into clean cycle, code reads E2 -F3-

Whirlpool F3 faults relate to temperature problems in the oven. In the case of the error E2-F3, F3 is the general fault code and E2 is the specific error code. An E0-F3 error indicates that the oven's temperature sensor is open; E1-F3, that the temperature sensor is shorted; E2-F3, that the oven temperature has exceeded the maximum rated 575 degrees Fahrenheit in "Cook" mode; and E3-F3, that the oven temperature has exceeded the maximum rated 950 degrees Fahrenheit in the clean mode. Here is the probe to order.

The part comes with a 365 day, any part, any reason return policy.

Frigidaire model FEF352CATB has a F3 error code

Hi - Typically error code F3 indicates a faulty sensor probe or wiring harness between sensor probe and EOC. Try resetting the range by unplugging it or flipping the circuit breaker off for two minutes (this usually will clear most false error codes). Turn on the range and if resetting the unit proves to be ineffective, I would recommend contacting a professional to move forward accurately.

My GE Profile electric oven keeps shutting off on me, it shows a "F3" code on the screen. What does this mean?

Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.

your F3 means: Oven temperature sensor open you cannot reset this type of problem.

Check oven temperature sensor, should be ~1100 ohms at room temperature. If too high or low, replace oven temperature sensor

GE Range / Stove / Oven Fault Codes Failure Code Fault Code Description Solution F0 Stuck touch pad Usually means that either the touch pad or the oven control (also called clock or ERC) is defective and needs to be replaced. If this fault code cannot be cancelled, replace the oven control (also called clock or ERC), touch pad, or both. BAKE Control senses oven temperature above 615F-630F If actual over temperature condition occurred: Look for welded relay contacts on bake or broil relays. If this happens, replace oven control (also called clock or ERC).

If no over temperature condition occurred: Look for a high resistance connection or any other cause of high resistance in the oven temperature sensor circuit. Check sensor, sensor harness and sensor harness connection at sensor and oven control. Replace sensor if found defective.

Remember: Oven control (ERC) measures resistance of sensor circuit , not actual oven temperature. F2

F5 Loss of relay drive circuit If this fault code cannot be cancelled, replace the oven control (also called clock or ERC). F8 Shorted meat probe Problem could be with the probe, the receptacle, or probe circuit. Check probe. Look for pinched wire. Look for condensation or contamination on probe receptacle. F9 Lock switch Check wiring to door lock switch (the wire harness may be connected wrong). Check for stuck lock switch. FC Problem with door lock circuit such as pinched wires between control and door lock switches on motorized lock circuits Check wiring and test operation of switches. FD Shorted meat probe Problem could be with the probe, the receptacle, or probe circuit. Check probe. Look for pinched wire. Look for condensation or contamination on probe receptacle. Replace probe if all else checks out ok. FF Loss of door motor safety switch Replace the oven control (also called clock or ERC). FFF Control error, failed EEPROM Replace the oven control board (also called clock or ERC).

The main control operates a series of software commands, which control the various features and functions of the oven. Each function or operation has a numerical value assigned to it. The numerical values can be added up - this is called the check sum operation. Every time the system is powered up and after each clean cycle the system performs a check sum and compares the value to the value programmed into the software (stored in memory).

An EEPROM check sum error or FFF code occurs when the values differ. If this happens, replace the oven control board (also called clock or ERC).Here is a list of error codes and corrective action that should be taken. Mike

I get a F3 code on the control panel and the oven doesn't seem to regulate the temperature anymore model 68HN6TVW

check the temperature sensor probe and harness as f3 code refers to that..
you will need to pull the range out from the wall and disconnect from power and remove the panels that cover the control panel and sensor probe area at the back of the oven.
Check sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok.
sensor is part# 12001656 - Oven Sensor Kit 7" Long around 30-40 dollars plus shipping and tax, depending...
hope this helps,
best of luck,

F2 and F3 code appearing along with annoying beeping

i think f3 error code has something to do with the temp probe maybe it is the problem. the temp probe is located if you open the door directly in the back wall. it looks like a prong. should read 1100ohms the f2 error code though usually has something to do with the keypad i would check all the connections maybe they are loose.

GE Profile-electric oven

Copper, F3 means oven temp sensor is open. You need to replace the probe. Easy job. Part number I have for this is WB23X5340, but double check your model number. Look it up on the net to see what you are going after...Catriver..post back
