My lg kp500 wont detect my micro sd cards..already tried with several sizes between 1GB-8GB.funny thing is, they all work in my old phone(nokia).
im sure i've installed them correctly.
any ideas?

From what I can ascertain from various forum posts on this model phone, it will only accept SD cards up to 4GB. No one seems to have gotten anything 8GB or larger to work, even though TracFone has stated that he phone will handle up to 8GB.
if it's a micro sdhc card, some phones will not accept it. try using something small, such as a 1gb or 2gb or smaller. also, refer to your user manual to find out what the largest size card your phone is capable of handling.
Hi i have the exact same card all you need to do is reformat it, just try and get it to work and the when you go to my computer to go onto the 8gb sandisk right click it and go down to format just a quick format will do.
Try Formating the 1gig chip in 'Fat' not Fat32, then put it back in phone,, should work then.
Also the phone aparently will only recocnize up to 2Gig (But U need a Firmware upgrade)

it will need to be smaller then 8gb...... also micro SD......... NOT micro SDHD .....you also need to format it using the phone (check user guide for info on how to do this)

When you look at the phone, and the screen is facing you, the microSD card's contacts should be facing back of the phone. And notice that LG KP500 does not support larger micro SDs than 8 GB.
Some memory card wont be recognized by some phones or pc's. I also bought a sandisk card before and just found out (through reading online forums) that some don't actually work.
