Water blaster - My water blaster does not speed up the engine when I start spraying. Therefore, the water pressure is low. The linkage between the pump and the gasoline engine does not seem to be functioning.
I was mistaken in my thinking about how the pressure washer works. There is a by-pass valve that takes the load off the engine when you stop spraying. The engine actually runs at a constant RMP. When the spray is on, the by-pass valve closes and this increases the load on the engine. This is what I had been hearing as a "speeding-up" of the engine and was no longer hearing. Anyway, I took the un-loader apart and blew it out with some compressed air. It works fine now.
