Onkyo remote won't control Samsung components.

I have an Onkyo TX-SR606 video receiver with a RC-710M remote control. The codes that should make the remote operate my Samsung 6000 Series tv causes erratic behavior on the tv setup menu. The code that should operate the Samsung BD-P3600 blu-Ray cannot pause. The dealer recommended purchasing the remote of the next model up Onkyo receiver the RC-710M remote. I bought it on the web. The new remote works fine with the tv now but the blu-ray still won't pause. There is only one code for all Samsung blu-Ray players in the Onkyo manuals. Is there a code that can make the remote work? I haven't found a learning remote for a decent price.

I got an Onkyo RC-717M remote control. It is the remote that comes with the Onkyo TX-SR706 receiver. It is a learning remote. When i entered the cde for the Samsung Blu-Ray it did the same thing as the other remotes I got from Onkyo, the pause, next / previous track buttons wouldn't work for the Samsung BD-P3600. I used the learning function of the new remote and programmed it to work. It works ok now but it sure was a hassle to get it done. In fairness i should have called Onkyo support but their support hours don't match my schedule.

Can you use an Onkyo RC-771M remote control to operate Onkyo receiver TX-SR502 ?

Unfortunately, the RC-771M remote doesn't control the TX-SR502. It will only work with these Onkyo models: TX-NR1008 and TX-NR808. The RC-567M is the one for the TX-SR502; replacement remotes that are exact replacements are still available from various places including Amazon.com .

Since the TX-SR502 was released in ~2004, that replacement remote probably won't control other devices that were released in 2004 or later. Onkyo changed its IR code programming before the TX-NR1008 was released in ~2010 and the RC-771M can't communicate with the older receiver. The manuals for the receivers listed above are still available from Onkyo on the product page under the Downloads tab.

I wish that I had better news for you.

How to program remote control?

Your Onkyo TX-SR304 receivers remote (RC-645S) is not capable of controlling devices by other manufacturers. It controls only Onkyo devices.
Other Onkyo remotes do have universal remote functionality and you can download Onkyo remote codes here.

I hope that helps.

How to program onkyo tx-sr606 receiver onto remote control

I think onkyo has not come up with codes for game console yet. Codes that are available are for DVR/VCR, CD, DVD, TV. and Setup Box. I need to get the manufacturer of those components that you have for me to be able to determine which code is appropriete for your components.
