A web site that I have previously visited from my computer is blocked at my work and I need to access it from work. I have verified that it is not being blocked by any antivirus, phishing or spam program and is not blocked by the firewall at work. Any suggestions? I am using IE 7 on and XP machine.

How do I get on facebook on a computer that blocked facebook

Why is the computer blocking FaceBook? Is it software some company or parent placed on the computer to prevent unauthorized use or visiting unapproved sites? If so, you will have to talk to whomever installed the software because it is likely you don't own that computer. It could also be the source of your internet connection that has firewall software blocking access to external sites. Or it could be your antivirus/firewall software on the computer doing the blocking. You need to be more specific on how you are accessing the internet (wired or wireless), what anti-virus or malware blocking software is installed on your computer, and what exactly you are trying to do before anyone can be of more help.

How can I delete FaceBook off my PC?????

Facebook does not live on your computer's hardrive in the way that Microsoft Office or Excel does. Facebook lives in the internet cloud and you access the site through a web browser. For this reason, you cannot delete it from your PC. If you are interested in not allowing anyone to visit Facebook from your computer, there are different ways to block accessing it. You can search for the different ways, either use a blocked host list or specifying Facebook as a blocked site within your browser(s).

Site blocked. mail.yahoo.com is not allowed on this network

Are you using Internet access supplied by your employer, or by your school?

If so, then contact the Network System Administrator at your work/school, and ask them to verify that they have chosen to block access for all their employees/staff/students. It is "their" network; so, they can block whatever they want to block, because you clicked "I Agree" to their Appropriate Usage Policy, in order to access their network.

I am trying to access the plenty of fish website, but I think my nephew has blocked it on this computer. I can access this site on my sisters laptop which is running off the same server. How do I unblock...

I am not sure what website exact website you want to access, I guess you are talking about fishville where you play the fish games on facebook. Many people use proxy servers to access blocked websites, you can also try it... (click here), open the link and then copy or type in the url of the website you want to access and proceed in the "web address" box and click "go" to visit the site and access it's contents. In simpler terms, click the "click here" (above) and in the "web address" box of the new page, type in "www.facebook.com" or "www.fishville.net" etc. etc.. and click "Go" and see if you can proceed with it or not. If it's not successful, there's no option to access it without getting your cousins permission and to let the site unblocked.

If you need further help, let me know.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

How to unblock the facebook

It's probably your employer (or your school's headmaster) who has blocked access from their computers to various time-wasting sites, e.g., YouTube and FaceBook.

If you try to access, you could be in violation of your employer/school policies, and could get yourself into a lot of trouble.
