Snapped it off did you?.... you and 10,000 other ryobi owners.

I purchased on eBay ($7 US, delivered, a few yrs ago). You pry off the remainder and the new one presses on.

You need to rebuild the carburetor. You will need to go to an outdoor power & equipment store of some kind to get a carburetor kit for your specific trimmer. It will come with various gaskets, (some of which you won't use), a needle valve, and a small screen that goes in the carb. Replace all old parts with new. New primer bulb is sold seperately. When you have the carb. apart, you will also need to clean the small ports with a Den Tek Brush (used for cleaning teeth). Use carb. cleaner when cleaning.

You probably need a slight carburetor adjustment. Try to turn the L mixture screw (the one near the bottom of the carburetor on the air filter side, closest to the engine) 1/8 to 1/4 of a turn counterclockwise. These mixture adjustment screws ( L and H) have odd heads on them and conventional tools won't turn them. I use an automotive type plastic wire connector (around 22 gauge) with a ring terminal end which I can hold. Tap the plastic end of the wire terminal connector onto the head of the screw with a small hammer and this will enable you to adjust the L screw. This adjustment will increase you high speed side and possibly allow it to run off choke in a regular manner.

I have a Ryobi HT26.In the back of the primer under before the gas tank is a choke lever and throttle lever. My choke lever is connected to nothing in the back or front of mygas diaphram.Does'nt it soppose...

If you remove the air filter you should see the choke butterfly valve on the air intake to the carburettor.
The choke lever should be connected to the axle of this valve on the outside of the carburettor.

Ryobi CS30 - Stalls out?

Dirt or varnish in fuel filter or carburator. Change filter if there is one.

Flush out the carb with a varnish remover.

Open high speed needle valve 1/8 turn farther, then turn in while running until it just smooths out.

Can't get my Ryobi CS30 trimmer started, bought a new spark plug, still won't start. It worked fine last summer, took it out for the first time today, won't start, has plenty of fuel

Is the fuel old or has it been drained and refilled?? Sometimes old fuel will do this. Also make sure the air filter is clean and free of oil/dirt as this will also hinder the starting.

The primer button also is something to check. Push it 7 times, full choke, pull for 5 times, turn to half choke, and the unit should start.

Let me know,

I HAVE A MODEL775R RYOBI GAS TRIMMER 31CC IT HAS NO SPARK.

you probably made the mistake of leaving it in the shed over winter with gas in it.
in the carb there is a diaphgram that oumps this fuel in via the motor vibrations.
said diaphgram had been ruptured due to drying gas in the carb. the solver to this is to either have a small engine mechanic replace it or the whole carb or get a new one, and i would suggest you get the cs26 model instead. i have a cs30 and cs26 and i have had less problems with 26. it only has two chokes.
you prime it.
you push lever to start, closing all but a little bit of carb, giving engine much richer mixture.
you squeeze trigger, opens halfway/full, as there are two chokers in the carb, on controlled by lever and another by throttle.basically now you haave half choke.
you release trigger, goes back to 7/8 choke to keep at idle but not running. your ready to go.
on the cs30 its much more complicated:
ful choke
prime 7x.
pull 4x
half choke
pull till start.
wait ten seconds of running at idle rotate to run
good to go. but these guys have porr design. if you take off the back cover and look above fuel tank on cs30, the crank is RIGHT SMACK THERE and not better secured like in the '26 model.
that's what the little circular hole is in it.
anywho, the diaphgram is ruptured, and you probably haven't noticed that in addition you have gas leaking out the carb's air intake.

Broken choke conrtol

Yes. I had the same thing happen. Ryobi can send you that exact part. I know this for a fact, because I just got mine in the mail yesterday.

Call Ryobi at 1-800-860-4050. I'm sorry, i don't have the part number, I'm at work. I'll look for it when I get home.

What you do is take off the air filter casing (both pieces, front and back) and you'll see the yellow plastic rod going through the carb, with a little circular metal piece to adjust the air mixture. Get a pliers and pull out that metal piece (don't worry about ruining the yellow plastic rod, because it's already broke). Once you have that out, the yellow rod will slide right out. Once you get the new one, you slide it in, push the metal piece back on, and it's finished.

Side note: I'm not sure at what point I did this, but be careful. You do NOT have to take the carb off when you do this. If you do, you might do as I did and lose the spring and ball bearing that make the choke control click into the A, B, and C positions.

Fortunately, I just talked with a great guy in the Ryobi Service department and he's sending me those two peices free of charge.

Replace pull cord on ryobi model cs30 weed wacker

Good fix, mrfixit-jerr! Also, if you remove the rear cover (4 screws) you can stabilize the crankshaft by inserting a screwdriver between the lobe of the shaft and the counterweight.
