How do I turn my built-in webcam on?

some dell built in webcams need sufficient light for them to turn on even when the program is open and trying to get the image. if it says camera is busy and no app is open using it try shining a light on to the camera lens.

Make sure that your laptop actually has a camera built in. Some models don't have a webcam. Other than that, you may need to turn it on via a switch (but I doubt there is such a thing) or last resort is to see in BIOS if there is a setting to turn on the webcam (doubt it also).

Here is the specs and it doesn't say anything about webcam.

Hi....Use the webcam button in the messenger software : yahoo, msn and it will automatically turn on and start the webcam.

If you have Windows Vista, please go to start button, type camera in the search box above the start button and you will find the camera.

Try to uninstall the driver and software of it the reinstall. Hope it can help

have you tried going to www.dell.com/drivers and see if you can get a new driver for it

u just reinstall the software of the webcam for ur laptop model
