Need help running amp wire to battery

If your looking for a route to run the wires follow the existing wiring loom through the firewall. The loom uses pre-drilled holes with rubber inserts so you won't have to drill any new holes. You can use small zip ties to secure it to the bundle of wires on the loom to keep thing tidy.

Run a live cable through the firewall

Either find an unused grommet, double up on an existing one or drill a hole and use a grommet. You have to be really careful because if you drill a hole, you could ruin something!

What is the best way to run wires from my battery to inside the cabin to wire in a power converter?

The best or more professional way to run the cables is to drill a hole thru the firewall. You need to use wire ties on the cables and route the cables along the factory wiring harness. Try to route to the shortest distance and use a rubber grommet where you have the hole drilled in the firewall. The grommet will keep the cable from getting damaged by the sharp edges of the hole that you drilled. Also the largest possible diameter cable is better because you will get more amperage to the power inverter. Hope this helps :)

Where can i run a power wire for an amp in a '99 buick regal?

Power wire for an amp is usually ran from the battery through the firewall to the location of the amp. GM is pretty good about having a hole for running cables through the firewall. Check the size of the cable, and locate a hole where the cable will fit, then slide it through to the cabin of the car and run it where it needs to be. Ground wire is typically tied in to the chassis.

Very rarely will one have to drill a hole from firewall to the cabin if there isn't a pre drilled hole.

Amp. and Sub install on a 2006 Jeep Gand Cherokee

Your best bet is to actually drill a hole through the firewall and istall a rubber grommet to protect the wire. If this isn't really an option, you might try locating the places the wiring harness and spedometer cable go through the firewall, or where the shifter goes through the transmission tunnel. The main thing is to protect the wire from heat and rubbing against metal. Hope this helps :)

96 Cougar routing amp power cable through firewall.

if you look at the firewall area you usually can see rubber or plastic black plugs to run wiring to the passenger compartment; look by the left side kick panel on the floor next to your brake pedal; good area to drill if you have to ; make sure you insulate any cable or power supply going through the firewall so the wire is protected from rubbing or vibration
