Pride Mobility Jet 3 Ultra power chair. Its been sitting in storage for about two years. It won't charge. Is the annemter supposed to move fast enough for me to see if it's working? I suppose I'll need new batteries, is that something I can replace myself? Where do I get them and what kind? It's not in the manual.

If the batteries sit for over a couple months, you'll have to replace them. They are U1 type (pair).

The battery number is UB12350. We just replaced ours today. Batteries Unlimited carry them. The prices differ whether you buy the charged or not. Either way you need to fully charge them.

First off, get a manual from PrideMobility.com. If your batteries have gone completely dead they will have to be reconditioned, if you are lucky, or replaced. If the chair worked well before being stored properly (away for moisture) your battery may be the only problem. When you can get a charge on it, the diagnostic lights should tell you the rest of the story.

Pride JET 3 Ultra power wheelchair. Problem: Batteries drain very fast after recommended charge. Things I have done: Replaced both batteries- twice; Replace On-board charger. Both items brand new. ...

check the motor brushes if they are 1/4 inch or less replace them. Next, after driving the chair for a while check the motor casing near the brake assemblies on the rear of each motor if the casing is hot then you have a sticking brake pad or pads and this can cause the excess battery drain. If you have sticking brake or brakes unfortunately the whole motor assembly will have to be changed Hope this helps

I HAVE A JET 3 ULTRA CHAIR, WE LOSS THE 24V PRIDE JET 3 Ultra Power Chair Smart Battery Charger, CAN WE USE A COMPUTER CABLE INSTEAD IF NOT WHAT CAN WE DO.

You can use the AC charger cord from a computer as a replacement for the AC cord of the charger. If the AC cord plugs into the wall and plugs into the charger or charger receptacle on the back of the power chair, you can use it.
If I remember correctly, This chair has a 4 Amp on-board charger which has an AC receptacle on the back of the chair to plug in an AC cord. The off-board chargers take a universal AC cord which will work with a universal computer AC cord. If the AC cord plugs in, use it.
