WHY????? did you move where there is NO 3phase service??? its going to cost you so much more to run this machine on single phase current, because of your increased motor size if you can find a motor that large(single-phase) if this is the case find a gasoline engine 18+H.P. it will be just as cheap to operateWHY????? did you move where there is NO 3phase service??? its going to cost you so much more to run this machine on single phase current, because of your increased motor size if you can find a motor that large(single-phase) if this is the case find a gasoline engine 18+H.P. it will be just as cheap to operate

It might. Mounting holes match? Shaft diameter and adapter match? Power supply sufficient for 5HP motor? It's a big motor! You might get a better answer from the ebay supplier.
On 230 volts you have 3 wires 2 are 115 volt and the third wire is ground. As long as you hook the ground wires together correctly the other wires don't matter. Usually the ground wire is either white or green. The black wires are hot (115 volts).
Hi robles212 To convert your T-30 to single phase you will have to do one of two things. 1. Change the motor to a single phase motor 2. Buy and install a "Phase Converter" to convert 3 phase to single phase Please rate me Bud
A 3phase motor cannot be rewired to run on single phase power. You need a phase converter. A 3-phase motor will only run on 3-phase power, and a phase converter will convert single phase power to 3 phase. Just google phase converter. There are two basic types, electronic and rotary. The rotary type are more powerful and efficient, but lot's more expensive than the electronic ones. Your only other option is to replace the motor with a single phase motor.
Good luck.
8145-20 240Volt Paragon timer is not 3-phase. Clock motor is 240V. You need a transformer to convert 3-phase to single phase 240V to operate timer. Then timer outputs can control 3-phase power using 3-phase contactors Contactor below is 3 phase with 240V coil http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/DAYTON-Contactor-2UTP7?Pid=search
If the electrical 120 volt source is single phase, the only way to run this motor is with a single phase to three phase converter. Best to sell the three phase motor and obtain a similar horsepower 120 volt single-phase capacitor-start motor (1750 RPM) for the compressor. You would also require a 3-phase pressure switch for use with the 3-phase motor. Hope this helps!
I have 3phase blue seal electric fryer how can it be converted to single phase please? i have been toild it can and it will take 45amp fuse. please advice.
