Using Windows Media Player 11 ?

1. Have WMP11 always on top for "drag and drop" usage
Right click in the head of the WMP11 page: in Tools > Options... > Player : select "Keep the player on top ..."
Restore Down the size of the WMP11 screen and adjust the size on the
edge(s) as you require for your screen.
2. in [Library] mode: under Playlists "Create Playlist" e.g. "My Playlist"
and Enter: "My Playlist" is added on the right screen side.
3. Open your music maps and ad songs by drag and drop method
onto the right saying "Drag items here"
4. when ready adding songs in [Library] mode: "Save Playlist"
5. in [Sync] mode drag e.g. "My Playlist" under the connected device
and "Start Sync": wait until al files have synchronized: a message
will show up when you can disconnect the player.

This worked for me. Thanks to Clark Hilterman!!
source page: http://www.hilterman.com/clark/gogear_vibe_playlist.php
it seems there is a menu option on the gogear vibe that lets you choose your "pc connection preference". this, from the factory, was set for mtc with the description saying that it could not transfer protected files. so i browsed to the other option, mtp, which said it could transfer protected content. plugged the unit back in, windows re-installed it as a mtp device, deleted all of the files, and synced once again. this time the playlists transferred with no problems at all.

step by step

  • turn on mp3 player while unplugged
  • browse to settings
  • select pc connection preference
  • choose mtp
  • connect the device and let windows install it
  • re-sync your music playlists

How do I put music or videos on it?

You will need to create a playlist on Windows Media Player with your songs, videos, etc. Save the playlist then plug in the Philips GoGear Media Player and turn it on. On top of Windows Media Player find the sync tab and select the playlist you made and drag it to the "Sync List" pane. Then finally click on start sync and you are on your way.

How you I add additional Playlist to my MP3 unit?

You select a song first, then you move it to a playlist. It will give you the option to add to existing playlist or to create a new playlist.

Hope this info was helpful to you. Good Luck!

Phillips 4gb Go gear playlists

The Playlist feature only creates a "Playlist on the Go" from the player itself - you cannot transfer playlists to the player from your computer. A real let down, I know.

How to save playlist into go gear

This GoGear REQUIRES that you use Windows Media Player 10 - you must uninstall your Windows Media Player 11 and rollback to version 10.
Once you have done that, the instructions with pictures are in the manual which can be found at: http://www.p4c.philips.com/files/h/hdd6330_17/hdd6330_17_dfu_aen.pdf

Philips GoGear SA3245 - Playlists Not Showing Up on Player

Have solved this problem on GoGear syncing with WMP 11 by going to options on the device itself, then go to the "settings" option, scroll down to "PC Connection Preferences", from here you will select the check box saying "MTP" then back out of options and connect your device and go back to your WMP 11 and drag your playlists to the syncing area and resync your device. You should then be able to see your playlists under the playlist option in music along with the "playlist on the go" playlist.

Hope this will help!

"Playlist On The Go" on a Philips 4 GB SA6045 mp3 player.

I just figured out how you clear the songs from the "playlist to go". go to playlist to go, then when it shows the songs you have added press the up button and you will see the words "clear playlist to go", press the forward button and it will ask you to clear it or cancel, select clear and it will tell you it's cleared.

No playlist found

One of the pesky features of windows Media Player is that if you delete the song/playlist from the computer's harddrive, and then resync your device to that same computer, then oftentimes the song/playlist disappears. Reacquire the song/playlist, and then try resyncing to the goGear again.
