Try turning off the 3g. a lot of gps programs use the wireless gps, which just isnt as accurate, but the satellite gps gets interfered with by the 3g on the phone. Also, go to location services under settings on the phone, and make sure its turned ON for golflogix.
The cable can be a pain. It has to be slid all the way down to the very bottom of the socket on the gps, even when its tight, it might not be connected all the way. I usually wiggle it left and right while pushing it down.
make sure its plugged into the mac itself and not a hub, or an extension on the keyboard. Also, make sure the cable is pushed ALL the way down on the back of the gps, it can be tricky. even when its tight, it might not be all the way down.
click on help in the course manager software, then click on "How Do I restore my golflogix unit". connect it and turn it on. when it tells you its restored, turn it off and on, and load your courses again. FORE!
I have same problem and received the following reply from Golflogix:
We have recently released the Windows Vista, and Windows XP software update to solve this issue. It is a process where our technicians will have to manually place the software update on your computer. We would be more then happy to go through the process of setting up the software on your PC. To reach us to install the software update please call 1-877-977-0162. We are open Monday – Friday 7AM – 6PM Pacific Standard Time. When you call it is important that you are by the computer with your GPS unit and connecting USB cable. If you are a MAC user please contact our customer service department for further information.
