    I am having htc p3440i cell phone and my net work is bsnl. My phone could not connect the internet. I made several request to my srvice provider for settings. But they did not sent any settings. About three days back my phone was connected to internet showing that Edge symbol for one day.please send me gprs settings

For BSNL South prepaid or post paid use following settings:

Start/ Settings/ Connections /GPRS

Connects to : Internet
Access point: gprssouth.cellone.in

Leave other items blank.

Start/ Settings/ Connections /Proxy

Donot creat any proxy

You donot require any thing else. GPRS will work on your mobile and also in Internet share. Internet share works with cable and bluetooth. Browse on mobile or laptop !!!

Below is the step by step instruction:
Step 1
Start->Settings->Connections->Tasks->Add a new modem connection:
Enter a name for the connection:
<give any name>
Select a modem:
Cellular Line(GPRS)
click next
Acess point name:
portalsouth.cellone.in
User name: <blank>
Password: <blank>
Domain:* <blank>
Go to Advanced->TCP/IP
select radio button "Use server-assigned IP address"
Go to Advanced->Servers
select radio buttion "Use server-assigned address"

Step 2
Start->Settings->Connections->Tasks->add proxy setting[set up my proxy server]
Select "This network connects to the Internet"
Select "This network uses a proxy server to connect to the Internet"
Click "Advanced" button
Tap on HTTP
Server: 10.31.54.2 Port:9401
Username: <blank>
Password: <blank>
Domain: <blank>
Tap on WAP
Server: 10.31.54.2 Port:9401
Username: <blank>
Password: <blank>
Domain: <blank>
Step3:

i am elamurugu. i connect the htc mobile with bsnl cellone GPRS as following method. ies
go to start
go to setting
go to connections
in this go to connections
go to gprs setting
go to Add a new modem connection
go to General Enter a name for these setting as: BSNLGPRS Setting
Select a modem as :CELLULAR LINE (GPRS)
Next
Access point name: GPRSSOUTH.CELLONE.IN [as i am tamilnadu bsnl south zone]
Next
User name: YOUR CELLONE NO 94**********
Password: YOUR CELLONE NO 94**********
Finish
go to Proxy setting
select [tick] This network connects to internet
select [tick] This network uses a proxy server to connect to the Internet
then go to Connection Setup
Select Operator
Country: India
Operator : BSNL
then OK
Do you want to continue?
Yes
finally RESTART YOUR DIVCE
say YES.

Afer restart you can now use bsnl gprs.You have note a symbol at top of your htc mobile as E or G.

GPRS/MMS settings on HTC P3400i for vodafone postpaid connection

After browsing a lot of sites and experimenting with the settings finally I was able to configure my HTC P3400i with Vodafone Live support without any help from the Vodafone customer care (who were very bad and rude when I called them for getting the setting). The settings is working fine for me in Bangalore. Hope this helps all who bought this phone and struggling for getting the GPRS setting for HTC P3400i.

Below is the step by step instruction:
Step 1
Start->Settings->Connections->Tasks->Add a new modem connection:
