Lines 1 & 3 won't break dialtone on Merlin 410

Merlin 410 feature pack2. Can't break dialtone on Lines 1 & 3 with feature pack installed. Bought another feature pack2, now only have 1 line. Works fine without any feature packs, but lose speaker. Don't have any programming codes. Is there a way to reset the feature pack maybe?

Unfortunately no. The merlin 410 was an early phone system that didn't have much in the way of programming.

How many lines does the at&t bis-10 phone have?

It depends on how the control unit is programmed. The BIS 10 can't be used as a stand-alone phone (as in....you can't connect it directly to a telephone line).

The BIS 10 will work with the following systems:

AT&T Merlin 206
AT&T Merlin 410
AT&T Merlin 820
AT&T Merlin 820D2
AT&T Merlin 1030
AT&T Merlin 3070
AT&T Merlin II (with the proper modules installed)
AT&T Merlin Legend (with the proper modules installed)

I just installed windows 7 on my PC and now my microphone is not recognized. How can I solve this problem?

Like Windows XP with other service pack 1-3

Windows 7 OS had service pack 2 also that update all of the driver. This will fix the microphone problem. Just download and install the service pack2 (updated driver).

We have a Merlin System, the phones are MLX-10D, we have to dial outgoing calls 3-4 times before the call will go through. Now we're receiving complaints that incoming calls are just ringing and we don't...

Sounds like one (or more) of your lines are out in your telephone system. Each time you press a 9 for a line the system simulates a dialtone to see what your dialing next so it can check it against the automatic route selection table. After it checks, it pulls a line out of a pool group to complete the call. At this point its grabbing a line that is not working on the system. The best way to figure out which ones arent working is to check the lines on the main console by pressing each line button and seeing if it produces dialtone. More than likely(but not allways) its going to be a line problem from your dialtone provider.

Merlin 410 system went dead , so I unplugged it any other suggestions

You might take an electronic device and plug it into the outlet where the Merlin was plugged in. I doubt it , but it could be a power outlet failure. other then that Merlin 410's can still be purchaced on the refurbished market.

Service pack

Microsoft releases updates to Windows on a regular basis. That is what "Windows Update" is doing. These are patches to fix bugs, or vulnerabilities in the OS.

Occasionally, MS releases a major update to the OS. This update may add new features, or be a rewrite of an important component of the OS. These updates are called "Service Packs", and they are numbered.

The current version of XP is Service Pack 3, and if you haven't installed the update, it's a good idea for you to do so. The same for Win 2003 Service Pack 2.

ANY Windows machine you have should have the automatic updates turned on, to keep your system up to date.
