Question about Audio Players & Recorders
I use my MP3 to listen to audio books, but when I fast-forward or reverse, it goes to the next or previous chapter. Often, I just want to ''rewind'' a short distance because I missed a few seconds of the audio and would like to it be repeated.
Is there a way to simply ''rewind'' a short distance?.
My player is a Sandisk Sansa C150 2.0 GB
On ipods if you hold the fast-forward or reverse down (not just click on them) it will jump forward or back a few seconds at a time. If you listen whilst you are doing this you can usually recognise the bit where you you want to re-start palying and release it at that point. It seems counter-intuitive but it works.

There's no function for this on mp3 players.if you know you're going to want to do this frequently when you're reading the book it would be better to download it in chapters and then you could at least jump from one chapter to another without listening to the whole thing each time. You could record chapters or the whole thing onto Audacity ( A free sound recording program) and break it up into smaller sections. This is a lot of messing about and you'd probably be better off trying to find the book as an ebook and just search out the relevant bit that you'd missed and read it instead. I think it would be a great step forward if mp3 players were able to do this. The only equipment I know of that can do this(other than a media player on a pc) is on some digital radios where you can pause and do a rewind to the bit you want but this is usually only over a short period (5 mins for example on the Roberts digital radio.
