SOURCE: How can I turn to AV without a remote control (Samsung TV/VCR 19in Combo)

I had this problem with my TV/VCR combo unit (Samsung CXC1972) after losing the remote while in the dorms. I tried a few different universal remotes and dozens of codes before I tried the Philips 3 device universal remote as pictured below with code 037 programmed into the VCR/DVD button. I can't change the volume with this code but the input key switches between line in and tv. You can also change the channel, access the menu and operate the VCR functions with the code. I bought the remote for less than $10 at Walmart so it might be worth a try, and if it doesn't work you can always bring it back. Hope this helps.98fe8a9.jpg

SOURCE: How can I turn to AV without a remote control (Samsung TV/VCR 19in Combo)

you might try going to channel 00
If you cannot just dial the number 00, go to channel 2 and then channel down.
Does not always work, but without the model number of the TV it is hard to advise further

SOURCE: cannot change input source for tv

i would try the abvious first, unplugg the tv from the ac outlet and wait for a few seconds then try turning tv on see if the problem is solved, if not it might be that the key board panel needs replacing.

SOURCE: Direct TV remote "tv input" button won't work with my Sony TV

I came across this looking for a similar solution for my Samsung TV, and I found the solution on ehow.com. Apparently after you program the remote for your TV you have to hold mute and select again until it flashes twice then put in 960 to make the remote control TV input too. Note you're remote should be in TV mode while you do this. It seems silly that the DirectTV guy wouldn't do this when programming the remote.

Where is the AV button on the remote for the Poloroid 26 Inch LCD?

Hello

I believe that you have the orginal remote control of Poloroid FXM-2611C with you, and posts this solution
There is a 'square button' on the extreme left just below the "Disp" button marked 'TV'. Repeted press of this button, you can change the input mode to TV/AV.

To select different input modes use [input] button.
You can change the inputs to various modes. Refer to its user manual for details. OK

Unit is stuck in ANT B and the remote seems to be dead. How can I manualy get back to Vid 2. Is there a number I can call to talk with a real human.

Real Human - Me. Yes you may call if you like but there is a simple solution to this problem. Okay...If you have another remote that is for say....your cable or satelite box, program it to work your TV (If you haven't already). Once you have it programmed to operate your TV, press "TV" button so it's operating your TV, then use the "INPUT" button to change modes. Hope this helps you - let me know. If not - let me know that too. Respond or rate me. Thanks!

TV does't register the Nintendo

Probably so, if the video cables match up color wise then you should be ok there. Try changing the INPUT / SOURCE on the TV. Look for a button on the remote that says that and try different modes and inputs there. If you can't find that button try going to channel 2 on the TV and then going DOWN in channels with the the channel + - button.

Every TV is different in that regard.

Hope this helps

Change from TV mode to AV mode for a Hitachi C28W4110SN

There should be buttons somewhere on the TV itself to switch input modes. Look around where the power button is located and see if there is a menu button you can access. Then use channel up/down and volume up/down to scroll thru modes to find input

Hope this helps

Universal remote works for basics but won't change input

Rich,

good day , what button can you see infront of your TV screen?

Not familiar with this model but if you'll manage to locate a button marked as "TV/AV" or "AV" press this button until it the display switch to A/V mode (audio/video). Or if this is a really old model, from Tuner mode or channel model. set the channel station to 1 then press the " - channel " button and see if it will change from tuner mode to A/V mode

cheers,

No remote-

Have you bought a universal remote for the tv? That is what we had to do to get to av mode and when you do make sure you try the input button before settling with the first code that works. We stopped at the first code that changed the channels and still could not get into av mode. Finally I tried the rest of the codes and found the correct one. HOPE THIS HELPS

Video Mode - Orion 27" TV - Model stv2555A

VICTORY! Had the same problem with my Orion model FTDV2004. Lost the remote and couldn't program a universal remote to change the input to AV. After a day of reading posts, I just started pushing the channel up button. Somewhere past channel 115 the "Line1" and "Line 2" inputs showed up.
