It is a common problem for the Samsung DLP HDTV, the problem is that the color wheel is going to go bad. The only way to fix it is to replace the defective color wheel.
I bypassed the safety switch (it was bad) and vacuumed and blew out all of the dust. So far with this set, 3 years old, I have replaced the bulb twice,it exploded both times, and the color wheel which also exploded! We love the picture but the next time it goes out, it goes out to the trash and I will purchase a top of the line LED/LCD set. No moving parts!!! Samsung designed and manufactured a whole bunch of lemon sets and will not admit it. I have found several hundred complaints about their DLP sets and only a few on other brands.
Random dots or pixels failing on a DLP TV will be a bad DMD chip. This is a technician replace item only. The chip runs around 160 dollars list price. The part number will depend on which version the set uses and will be determined by the technician.
that means your lamp it is getting to the end of its life. sometimes even if the lamp still good the TV will send you that message because that timer is closed to 5000 hours
What you can do is open the lamp door, closed again and the tv will ask you if you replaced it the lamp, and just say yes and that sign will go away
It is unlikely that you can do anything yourself.
It sounds to me that there is a power supply problem that has steadily gotten worse and that cannot be confirmed remotely, it must be done on site by an equipped professional.
