Describe your Sony FD Trinitron WEGA This started

This started today after having owned tv for 6+ years. I followed instructions to perform auto program (pressed CH+) - it went the channels up to 129 and stopped. Initial Set UP screen appeared again. I hit Exit (CH-). Set Up screen appeared again. I turned the TV off, then on. Unplugged it, waited and plugged back in again. The Initial set up screen keeps appearing, disappearing and reappearing again. The TV is a Sony Trinitron flatscreen 27". KV-27HS420 27" TV Problem

I have over 10 years experience in electronic tech support.

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but the problem you've described can't be fixed with troubleshooting. Your TV will have to be repaired. There is a part that has developed a defect and needs to be replaced. If you're still in warranty, the TV will be repaired at no charge to you. The warranty would likely be at least one year from the date of purchase from the manufacturer. If you purchased an extended service plan they will repair the TV at no charge as well.

If the TV is no longer in warranty, it will likely cost a minimum of $150 parts and labor. This is assuming that you only need one circuit board or small part. If the problem is more than one of the circuit boards, the price of repair could go much higher.

6 blinks meens no horizontal and no raster check capasitor c515/c516/ jungle IC and IC206.

Hiii....

Loks like trouble in A board ( referee to blinking code ),the +13v is not supplied,so the power supply become stopped,the tv will back to standbay mode ?! check the ic561 : STV9379A ....
