OSX 10.6 - Canon ir2020 stoped

What OS do you have? Please add the update version for Windows 10. The drivers are still available from Canon here: https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/support/details/printers/support-inkjet-printer/i-series/i9900?tab=drivers_downloads for supported OS versions. It looks like the printer used Windows Update for to install most of the drivers under Windows 7. There is an optional update for the driver on the site but it doesn't work unless Windows Update installed the basic driver. The Canon didn't officially support the printer for any OS after Windows 7.

The Windows 7 driver worked under 8 (8.1) and some versions of Windows 10 for a while. (Under Windows 8, the ZoomBrowser software didn't work.) Then Microsoft became strict about not allowing unsigned drivers to install. The easiest solution is to find an old Windows 7 computer to connect to the printer. Alternatively, get an unused install license and build a virtual machine to connect to the printer. Note: recent cumulative updates for Windows 10 have caused issues with USB printers.

If you are using Windows 8 or 8.1, try connecting the printer via the USB port with the machine off. The restart the computer; make sure that the Windows Update is set to find updates for other devices (not just Windows). If you are using the printer over a network, some found using the Canon ProMark 9000 series drivers worked.

I hope these ideas help. I wish that I had better news for you about Canon support.

The easy way is to share the printer out on one of the p.cs and then add the printer on the other pc. Draw back is Sharing P.C has to be switched on all the time for other p.c to print.

I know how hard it is to get after market support for photo copiers. You may be able to use a USB print server and then plug it into a Ethernet hub or Switch and set up the IP addresses on the two p.c's and the Print server.

I suggest that you reinstall the driver of your printer or update it to the latest version. You can use RadarSync to autodetect the driver update.

There is no driver for your printer to work with OSX. It was for Windows OS only. AND Apple does not support this particular model either.Link below list support printers by Apple OSX>

The printer needs to be set up to share.

For Mac OSX 10.6, there are very few Twain drivers built in.

You have to download the Twain drivers compatible with Mac 10.6, installing previous versions of the Twain drivers can cause repercussions for the Mac.

Canon should have updated drivers on their website.

You need to buy UFRII printer kit for net. printing, and send kit for Scann to e-mail, scan to folder,...

In Europe we cant order any more kits for this product!

First, check your USB printer connection to your Macbook from your Pixma MX310 printer.

If the USB cable is securely seated, make sure you have installed the updated drivers for your version of Mac OS X. Here is the Link:

If you have already updated your printer drivers to the most current Canon Pixma update for your version of Mac OS X, then click on the Apple menu icon, located in the upper left corner of your screen and select System Preferences.

• From System Preferences, select Print & Fax.
• Within the Print tab, make sure you can see your Canon listed in that window.

If you can, proceed to perform a test print on any document you have on your desktop or folder of choice. If this does not help, from within the Print tab, select the Canon and press the "-" Minus button and remove that printer.
• Once it is removed, now click the "+" button
and re-add your printer.
• Once it has been added, attempt to test print again.

This should help get your printer back to printing again.

I had a similar problem with my MF6540. I could access the remote UI and see that the printer was recieving information via the print log. It would list all of my test pages that I tried to print but in the print results column I would get an error code NG(##5536) and the printer would not actually print anything. I tried the UFRII driver stated above and everything seems to be working now.
