CDX-M630 CD Player Problem (mislaid remote)

You must buy a new code. They are cheapest on eBay.

the cdx-m630 does not require a code. what seems to be the problem with the radio? it is possible it may have a bad flexible cable. without knowing the exact problem, it is impossible to say.

For Sony CD-M630 cd player, you need following remote control..

Part Store is good place to buy required part of CDX-M630. type part number (would be written on flexible wire) in search box and enter to see result.

First, make sure that the face is the correct one for the unit. I have had a couple of friends buy from salvage yards and the owners of the yards will take the faces off and put them all in a box - but forget which one goes with which. If this is the correct face for the unit, and all of the connections are good, the face should be displaying "CODE IN". This is where you would enter the unlock code - with the REMOTE. If you don't have the remote, then I'm not sure if you can unlock the unit. I've been to a few sites researching this question and have yet to find a way to enter the code without the remote. If you didn't spend very much on the unit, then it's not a big loss, but I would look into buying one new. It's almost impossible to get the default codes from the manufacturer for a used unit without the proper identification - i.e. receipt, product registration code, etc. Hope this answered your question. Mine did the same...it will stop working all together soon...repace the ribbon you should be fine

possibaly the issue is the ribbon cable that connects the faceplate to the head deck i had the same issue
