I've got a LG Viewty and I want to block a certain number from sending me texts. I know you can block calls by putting them into a group and blocking it, but I can't seem to block texts. Help!

This should be simple enough but this phone is **** and most things aren't staightforward with it,

This is what you have to do:

firstly, I know u prob dont want to do this but like I said, this phone is ****, save the number/s you want to block in your contacts, you must save them under a group, jus choose VIP , lol

Then, on the main screen on your phone, touch the blue icon on bottom right, go to settings, call settings, common setting (scroll down if u cant see it), then select call reject, touch the slider to "On", then touch reject list, then choose the group you want to reject, in this case VIP,

Now, any numbers you'v stored under VIP will not be able to call you or txt you, any probs, email is [email protected]

1. Go to CALL LOG 2. scroll down select CALL MANAGER 3. select REJECT LIST 4. manually enter a phone number you want to block or select OPTIONS then ADD from phone book, group, or recent contacts 5. select OPTIONS to SAVE.

you can add that number into a group, and add that group in the call reject from the common setting of the call setting.

Anyways, i need to block the incoming sms. Anybody got any solution or any software that i can download?

Go to call setup options
There u will find Restrict no.
and then select restrict all communication
and feed no.
now he can not neither call u nor text you

Call your carrier, it's likely an issue on their end. Or login to your online management portal and lookup blocks on your phone. It's likely it's still there, and if it isn't, wait 24 hours for changes to take effect (turn off and on your cellphone as well).

block list

go into call settings then common settings then call reject. I have given my unwanted number a group name and then blocked that group! Hope it works.There is also a service security thing in messaging which lets you set up trusted and untrusted lists. I am trying this also.

will for that phone you can't block a single contact but all the contacts only on text, calls you can't. or you can set that number to voice mail then just delete the message. the best way for me is just change your number. ok!
