I have the haier 1.7 cu. ft. minifridge, and the fan on the inside doesnt work. (I dont even know if its supposed to be running.) THe light on it works just fine, but there's no air circulating from the fan. Can i fix this problem myself, or should i just return it and get a new one
The fan shuts off when you open the door. It's controlled by the door switch. open the door and look for the door switch, push it in and the fan should come on.

the compressor has an internal overlod inside of it after 115 degress it opens and wont start till it cools down below 115 unplug and try putting ice cubes on top of com pessor to cool it down otherwise it will take hours to cool off
The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. Make sure this fan is running. You may have to hold the door switch in for it to run. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp. The problem could be the electronic control if you have one or the mechanical linkages.
If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.
This is such a vague problem you are describing. Could be a number of things. However, I can give you some advice to help determine if its the compressor or not. Typically when compressors are not running, even though they are suppose to be, you can hear a "click" sound come from bottom back area of fridge. This "click" sound may be preceeded by a few second long hum or buzz, or it may just be a click every couple of minutes. If you hear that then you know the compressor is trying to run, but isnt. Also, make sure that when you open the freezer door you can hear the evaporator fan running. If that fan is not running, but the compressor is, then you have bad evap fan.
Eventualy, the bushing inside the fan motor because of continious usage will need to be replace , this parts are replaceable. it's been five years now, and i suggest it's time to general maintenance check up your fridge to avoid more problems.
You can get an approximate idea of the cu. ft. by measuring the inside dimensions (h x w x depth) in inches, multiply them together, and divide by 1728.
As for the noise, it could be the condensor fan rubbing on the fan shroud (if the noise is outside of the box) the evaporator fan rubbing the fan shroud inside the box, or any number of other things.
