I'm told i need a new touch screen for my memory craft 8000 what would it cost the place i took it to didn't know for sure?

Memory craft 8000 how do you take it apart to replace light

When your Memory Craft 8000 or MC 5700 is otherwise working fine but the LCD display screen begins to grow darker and you find you just can't read it, the only thing you can do is replace the LCD screen, or buy a new machine.
Janome no longer stock this item direct, but there is an affordable replacement available.
Full Access and Installation instructions are provided, so you can DIY or have someone else do the replacement for you.

Also includes advice, links & contacts to be able to Reset your screen and do a Self Diagnosis Routine to test your machine BEFORE you purchase a replacement LCD backlight for either the Janome MC 8000 or MC 5700, so you can check that there are no other troubles.

When your Memory Craft 8000 or MC 5700 is otherwise working fine but the LCD display screen begins to grow darker and you find you just can't read it, the only thing you can do is replace the LCD screen, or buy a new machine.

Janome memory craft 8000

We have about 30 electroluminescent backlights for the 8000 still available .These are not original Janome parts. You will need a Janome service person to install then for you as it requires taking apart alot of the machine to get to the display. We can provide instructions if this person is unsure how to fit. Once the display is out, the process is simple. They are AUD$60 each including shipping. Email at [email protected]

Yes, they can be replaced, we have them in stock. But first there are some questions about whether there are also issues with stitch selecting IN ADDITION to the dark screen, to ensure you would actually benefit from the repacement.
