On my Toshiba e-STUDIO 2330c it's says service and has a picture of a wrench. Does that mean it needs a periodic service

It is abnormal temperature in the fuser*, thermistor error.

Maybe replacing fuser would help. But better contact service person.

could be a sensor blocked and the machine thinks there is paper present follow the small holes on the tray to locate sesor also keep in mind u can unplug the sorter and ur copier will work

CD30 is an error code when there is an obstruction under the finisher trays. most of the time it is a garbage can preventing it from moving up and down properly

Do the following.
Hold down 0+8 and turn the copier on.
Type in 690 then hit start.
Make sure there is the number 2 displayed.
Press enter on the touch screen.
Reboot the machine when told to.

There will be an error code appear when you press "CLEAR" and "3" button at the same time. The error code should appear next to the wrench icon you mentioned.

It is recommendable to get an experience tech to solve the problem for you.
