SOURCE: mounting brackets for granite countertop

This is the best way i have found. You must check this company out. Granite Grabbers www.GraniteGrabbers.com They are extremely simple mounting brackets secured with a very strong double sided adhesive. You do not have to drill you cabinets or deal with any expoy.

I have used them with excellent success, took 5 minutes to install

I have a short shaft Johnson 6hp outboard, the Jon boat I mounted it on is too deep, and motor doesn't reach water. Is there a way to lower motor? A bracket to lower motor to reach water?

outboard motor manufacturers supply a long shaft leg for just this problem
Talk with your Johnson dealer and check used outboards on e bay
Lowering the whole motor may affect the boat and floatation aspects besides making it harder to steer and start

Evinrude serial numbers 18902bc 53303

It looks like you have an old one....?

model # and serial # are on the mounting bracket, port side.
1980 and later, the model number will start with "J25" followed by 5 or 6 characters. there might be another letter in front of the "J".

1956 to 1980, most model #'s begin with the horsepower, before that, it's more random.

Commercial, military and racing versions each have their own model # sequence.

Trying to find out correct year of manufacture for a 115 johnson V4 but dont know where the serial no. is? I have found a no. on the mounting bracket.

All of the engine model numbers will look like this:
115MLCI 115 1981 115MLCN 115 1982 115MLCO 115 1985 115MLCR 115 1984 115MLCS 115 1980 115MLCT 115 1983 115MLES 115 1990 115TLCI-115TXCI 115 1981 115TLCN-115TXCN 115 1982 115TLCO 115 1985 115TLCR-115TXCR 115 1984 115TLCS-115TXCS 115 1980 115TLCT-115TXCT 115 1983 115TLES-115TXES 115 1990

It should be on the port side of the transom bracket(On the engine to boat mounting bracket). If not, look around on the engine block for a small silver plug (It will look like a shiny freeze plug) There will be 2 sets of numbers... one of the above numbers and your serial number will be the second number.
