Does not shut off when tank full, water leaks all over the floor if I don't watch it constantly

Sounds like the float valve inside tank may be stuck in closed position. Calcium buildup is very common. Good luck Juliana. Unplug and empty tank of any water and look for the float valve it should be near top of tank. Use a small bucket and mix vinegar and water and brush. Scrub that valve. Clean it up

The tank is empty but the full light stays on

The full light normally comes on when the tank is full. Emptying the tank and re-installing the tank should allow the system to reset. However, if the tank isn't pushed in all the way... the full switch and indicator light will be fooled into reporting a full condition. My suggestion is, first pull out the tank, look at the float and the tank full switch. Become familiar with these two items and confident that 1) the float is not stuck in the up position; 2) the tank full switch that the float is supposed to actuate will toggle (press your finger against it and let it return.) After this exercise make sure the tank is seated all the way in place. If your issue is mechanical, its easier to fix than if it's electrical, and if it is electronic... (just pray that it isn't).

Full light stays on always

Don't know your model specifically, but most dehumidifiers have a float that shuts the system down when the tank is full. Maybe the float is not going up and down like it should. With the power off and the tank out, see if the float is descending like it should when the tank is out. Popping it up and down a few times might solve the problem.

Where is the float

Don't know your model specifically, but the float is usually at the top of your water tank and activates the system to shut down by popping up when the tank is full. With some tanks you can actually reach in and sort of clean off the float. Jelly-like stuff can build up on the float after a number of years. Cleaning it off wouldn't hurt.

Fill light on and beeps but holding tank is empty

If it is like mine, the plastic part attached to the float in the collection bucket is broken and no longer actuates the switch that indicates the collection bucket (holding tank) is full. When I checked several years ago, the replacement part was no longer available. I used tape to keep the switch in the position that allowed the dehumidifier to operate and attached the hose connector to allow the condensate to drain. The collection bucket isn't needed anymore with this arrangement.

The orange full light is flashing, but the tank is empty, but no other light is on and it does nothing, i keep pressing buttons and nothing

This problem is usually caused by an improperly installed water collection bucket or the float valve inside the top of the bucket is broken or stuck in the DOWN position.

To troubleshoot this, turn the unit OFF & unplug it. Remove he bucket, check the float valve's position. If it stuck in the UP position, jiggle the handle to make it return to the DOWN position. This will also allow you to determine if the float is broken. If all this checks out, reinstall the bucket "squarely" from top to bottom into the bucket holder. It must make contact with the bucket safety removal switch on the back wall of the holder. When installed properly, the bottom of the bucket will not tilt down at all. Plug the unit in and turn it ON. If everything was done correctly, the unit should start within a few seconds.

Hope this helps you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Thnanks for choosing FixYa.

Says water tank is full when I plug it in

Turn the unit OFF and unplug it. Remove the water collection bucket. Look inside to see if there is a float valve device near the top of the tank.If there is, it's stuck in the UP position. Jiggle it, to make it return to the DOWN position. Once it goes down, reinsert it into the bucket holder.

If your unit does not have a Float Valve, when you reinsert it back into it's holder, it has to trigger the bucket removal safety switch. To make sure it does that, insert "squarely" in the bucket holder making sure that it's square from top to bottom. The bottom of the tank should not tilt downward, if it is inserted properly.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

The red indicator light just flashes when i turn the unit on. Whats wrong?

Hello,

The tank may be full. Your dehumidifier has a safety device that turns off the dehumidifier when the water tank is full. Usually the tank itself either presses against a switch or there's a device connected to the tank that triggers a switch when the tank is in place and full.

If you've emptied the tank and the unit doesn't run, inspect the place where the tank rests to see if there's a switch or mechanism that's not being activated. You may be able to turn it on with a simple flick of your finger.

Good luck.
