One of these philips/magnavox codes should work press dvd and ok buttons then release - the top row of buttons will blink twice - then enter 4 digit code - after which the dvd button will blink twice - then try power - if fails - try next code.

How do I program an AT&T u-verse remote to an ONKYO RC-866M remote

The RC-866M is the remote. What you need to do is add the codes for your Onkyo receiver into the ATT remote. There are 4 or 5 different Uverse remotes, but most can be reprogrammed by pressing the 'Menu' and 'OK' button together. First add your Onkyo codes to the ATT remote as an 'aux' device. After that is working, you can control the power and volume by adding the 'aux' device (Onkyo) to the power and volume buttons on the uverse remote.

These are all the different Onkyo Receiver codes:
Onkyo: 5002, 5018, 5073, 5074, 5075, 5076, 5077, 5078, 5079, 5080, 5081, 5082, 5084, 5085, 5086, 5087, 5130, 5131, 5140

This is how to reprogram the S10 style of Uverse remote:

I have tried to program a At&t U-verse remote to my Apex LD3249. Have tried all codes from At&t U-verse list. None work.

On uverse i got my apex to program by doing the search of codes. There is a code you can enter then hit a button to sequence through all codes by hitting power i believe. when tv turns off you know you have the right one. I am having the same issue on directv now since it does not have this option.

Trying to program my At&t Uverse remote to my

Sherwood Receiver/Amplifier 5027 Sherwood Receiver/Amplifier 5027

always press the mode key of the device they want to control before pressing any other key

Power on the device

  1. Press and hold the appropriate Mode key (TV, DVD or AUX) on the remote control.
  2. Without releasing the chosen Mode key, press and hold the OK key simultaneously.
  3. Release both the Mode key and the OK key at the same time.
All the Mode keys should flash twice.
    1. Enter the four digit setup code by pressing the number keys (0-9) on the remote control.
    2. The Mode key will flash three times indicating correct entry and return to normal operation.
    • When an invalid code is entered, the selected Mode key will give a long flash to indicate that the Member has not entered the setup code correctly. Start over beginning at step 3.
    • Should the remote control time out before the Member completes the code setup, they will need to start over.
    1. Point the remote control at the programmed device and press the Power key once.
    2. The device should turn off.
    • If it does not turn off, repeat steps 2 through 6 trying each code for the brand until the correct code is found.
    1. Repeat steps 1 through 7 to program other devices if needed.
    2. Press the appropriate Mode key on the remote control to work with the selected device. To use the remote control for the Member's U-verse TV Receiver again, have them press the AT&T Mode key.

Att uverse remote won't work with other devices

Yes you have to use the recommended Uverse codes, and follow the directions to enter the code. Hold the tv button down, on the Uverse remote, then with it stil held down add the OK button, let go of both, then you will see the lights at the top of Uverse remote light up, it is then ready to accept the code, it will be a four digit code, Go to [email protected], and look under TV, then programming the remote is there. Put remote Code in the att search box if you can't find it.
