Make sure you set the Source to output at 720p or 576p to start with, once you have the signal on the screen, then change the output source to find the modes your TV supports.

A further note, HDMI uses a protocol call HDCP for copy protection, if you are using a HDCP enable device, your TV will not get a signal as the TV will not have given the correct HDCP code to the device.

So, if all else fails after the above, and you are using a HDMI - DVI connector, try a different source unit.

Is this have a hd tuner built in?

No it does not. It has ntsc which is the old standard and wont work with digital signal, the set also has enhanced definintion (EDTV) and it can handle HD but is not true HD.

Is your unit set to the correct input source?
Check the connections to the source.
What is the input source? cable, satellite TV, over-air?
Have you tried another source like a DVD input?

My plasma screen reads no signal and not available

Well make sure it's on the right source, I have a 50 inch Samsung and when you're on the wrong channel it'll read no signal and you can't do anything. So make sure you have cable hooked up right and make sure it's on the right source or video channel first. I don't know but this might help.

Blue screen on everything

Blue screen usually means no signal coming from the source. Did you accidentally hit the 'source' button on the remote, so it is now set to the wrong device (DVD player instead of the cable, for example)?

Your TV may not support your HD channel signal. Check with HD DVD & non-HD DVD players to confirm.

Hisense 42in plasma flashing blue/green pixels after 30 mins

Do a master reset
1. unplug the TV from the wall
2. remove the batteries from the remote
3. wait 24 hrs
4. plug TV into the wall socket
5. install batteries in remote
6. hold power on button for minimum 10 seconds
This was given to me by the Hisense service line and worked for my TV.
