SOURCE: 600 watt 2 channel power acoustik sterling amp

On your amp, there should be a switch (on the side probably) that has "LP", "HP", and "FULL" or "OFF". This is a switch for the low pass/high pass filter. Switch it to "LP" as this will allow only low frequencies to go to your subs, what you want. If you don't have that switch, go to an audio store or online audio supplier and get either a low pass filter, band pass filter, or a cross-over, and follow the wiring diagram that comes with it to filter out the high frequencies before they get to your subs.

My 620 watt power acoustik amp is on protect mode for some reason, and it is ran to two 10" subs. i need help?

this is usually an anti theft precaution taken where if the amp is tampered or attempted to be stolen it will shut down making it useless for the thief the only way to get them unlocked is usually by the people whom installed it for you or the manufacturer

Ampifier protection mode problems

I don't specifically know what kind of protection circuits Power Acoustik employs however I don't they have input short protection. You can verify it by just unplugging your RCA cables and if the unit still goes into protection the problem exists in the output stage.

MH master

With your multimeter set to DC volts, the black meter lead on the ground terminal of the amp and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage applied), touch the red lead alternately to the B+ and remote terminals of the amp. If the voltage is below ~11 volts, you need to check the wiring feeding whichever line is too low.
