If your friend has had AT&T long enough for his contract to run it's course he can just call AT&T support and they MUST give him the unlock code. I have done this with my account and unlocked 4 phones this way before. It is much easier than going online digging for all kinds of random hacks.

for you waverunnrer. r u professional? co'z u'r asking for a firmware,. and you can only upload it to u'r fone using a box, a tools soft, firmware and a cable...this is how a professional work on fones to upload the firmware you ask...... guest , were very sory we cant ulock fones here, but here's how put cables on ur fone run the soft, and ulock it,.. but only professionals can do that...
